YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

Photographer - Annette Chalmers

• I have worked as a professional photographer in my home country of New Zealand for over 15 years . In that time, I won several awards and had many photographs published. I am looking forward to continuing this success in the UK.
• You will not have to worry about a different photographer turning up on your special day—I do not use agencies or substitutions. The only photographer you will see on the day is me.
• I only take one wedding booking per weekend. Many photographers will take up to 3 bookings on any weekend. Often weddings can start and run very late. You don’t want a photographer turning up tired at the bride’s home at 9:00 am when he or she didn’t get to bed until 3:00 am the night before!

Equipment

• My main equipment is medium format. This produces a larger negative than standard 35mm cameras. This means you can produce much larger and higher quality enlargements.
• For candid and reception photographs, I use profession quality lenses and 35mm cameras.
• I only use the very best equipment, film and processing techniques.

Preparation

• If I don't know the location, I will always survey the area before your wedding. If you have not chosen a location for your formal photographs, I will try to find suitable locations that offer both scenery and shelter if needed.
• If you are getting married in a church, temple or similar - I will meet or speak with the person who is performing your ceremony before the wedding. I find this essential as there may be areas we are not permitted to use or disturb. I also need to know if flash photography is permitted, often it is not.
